Betawi Art Performers will Be Involved in Disparbud Events

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) continues to support and facilitate Betawi art performers by providing Betawi art performances in Disparbud's events such as festivals, performances, or competitions.
This is one of our efforts to support and facilitate Betawi art and dance studios in Jakarta in order to preserve Betawi culture
Jakarta Disparbud's Art Development Section Head, Rusmantoro stated his side will hold 11 events in this year that can be participated by Betawi art performers both individual and group. It is not included Tourism and Culture Sub-department (Sudinparbud)'s events in each regions.
Those events are Jakarta International Folklore Festival, Jakarta Beat Society, Jakarta Theater Festival, Betawi Music Composition Contest, and Indonesian Children Song Composition Festival.
Betawi Kemayoran Studio Participates in Preserving Betawi CultureNext, Poetry and Short Story Contest, Selected Art Performance, Religion Art Appreciation and Contest, Jakarta Dance Carnival, Art Institutions Empowerment at Public Spaces, and Bedug Festival.
"This is one of our efforts to support and facilitate Betawi art and dance studios in Jakarta in order to preserve Betawi culture," he conveyed, (3/11).
Jakarta Disparbud is committed to concern and give attention to Betawi art performers thus they can be motivated to preserve Betawi cultural arts and explore new Betawi creations.
"We will give them chances to perform in various events and build synergy with other sides to holds training for them," he asserted.
